It seems that in our world today the Sweet tenderness of romance and Romantic gestures are not a part ofpeoples lives anymore. It all seems to be about sexual freedom without consequence, consideration or sometimes romance. Young people seem to feel this amazing pressure to get into permanent relationships before they even really understand what a relationship entails. We have sexual education within our schools that deal with protection and the help available after the act. But no one seems to be trying to educate our young about theemotions they are actually feeling. Who is telling them that going for long country walks, laying in the sweet country grass, giving each other aHug and just talking can not only beromanticbut also very informative. You need to discover if you are comfortable spending time with another person, not just in short bursts of sweet romantic sessions, but also in quiet times when there is really nothing else to do but. Will you then find that person boring. We need to educatepeople in the fact that the freshness of a relationship is not something that can be maintained indefinitely, other everyday issues tend to get in the way. A long lingering kiss can soon be replaced by a short peck on the cheek and a hug.
The excitement of new relationships and marriages can soon fade, couples become swingers or start experimenting with wife swapping because they feel something is missing from their relationship or they want to experience something different, but they do not always think of the emotional consequences of these choices.
It even seems now that male friends cannotgive each other a simple hug without the feeling they may have gay tendencies.
I truly feel we need to go back to basics. We need to reduce sex as such an important factor in our everyday lives because itseems so paramount in everything that we do and see. For example some of the adverts we see on television are so sexually provocative but is not relevant to the product being advertised, like cars. And why is it necessary for almost every music video to have a scantily clad female behaving provocatively. Should it not be about the the actual song.
