Have you ever wondered when you see the words speed dating, what they mean? When I first say the words speed dating, I thought it said speed skating! Well, you are going to have to admit that dating and skating are close. They both have the letters ating in it. Well my only definition of speed dating would be to see how many people you could date line in 2 days.

I decided to take a survey on what speed dating meant. One couple came up to me and asked what I was doing, and I told them I have a question to ask. Do you know what speed dating is? They looked at each other and both shook their head and saidsorry no we don't. They had started to talk to another Couple and were talking back and forth to each other as if they knew each other for years.

So the five of us sat down on the bench around a table, and they were telling me how each couple met. Now that was interesting. One couple was telling about their proposal .The one lady was saying, oh yes Melvin, our proposal, it was so romantic. I remember it so well. You wore a shirt that read tickle me on it. You remember me asking you if you were ticklish, and you said no. So I decided to go ahead and Tickle you. You asked me what I was doing, and I told you I was doing what the shirt read on it. Then I repeated what the shirt said. You remember it said tickle me. We both laughed so hard after our fun night.

The other couple was telling what their proposal was. They remembered the good old days about her husband getting down on his knees and asking to marry her. After she yes, then he had to get down on his knees in front of her father, and ask if he could have their daughter in marriage. It was just like a fairy tale in a book. By the end of the night, they acted like old friends they had known for 80 years.
