Max sat quietly in his favorite chair, staring across the room at the photographs on the wall. In the center of the arrangement was a large, laminated picture of his one true love - his wife of forty years, Nancy. She had passed away two years ago today and Max had never been able to accept her death. She had died at the hands of drunk driver, on her way home from the senior center where she was a volunteer. Nancy had been taken from him so senselessly, so instantly, that Max could not seem to find a way to move on. Every day, he still heard her voice in the house, calling his name. How he wished now that he hadn't gotten annoyed with her requests to take out the trash or cut the lawn. They never fought over those things but, in his heart, he knew he could have been kinder to her and more helpful.

Adrian got home from work and placed his jacket on the back of the chair in his kitchen, the same as he did everyday. He began booting up his computer and got himself a glass of water while he waited. Adrian was what you would expect of a 36 year old divorcee. A man set in his ways who enjoyed the way he was living after being in a 6 year relationship that just hadn't worked out. Having a wife really limits you in more ways than one. You don't really have the freedom and opportunity to sleep around with different women every week which used to be a regular occurrence for me when I was a young handsome single man in the late 80's. I have always been a huge fan of dating sites. I have a bunch of friends that think looking for love via the internet is only for losers but I have always had great luck with them. On dating sites you can meet women that you normally would not meet. It is a very exciting way to get to know women from all over the country and even the world. At one point I even met a really great girl from Amsterdam and after 6 weeks of knowing each other online she came all of the way to the United States to visit with me for a few weeks. It was like a first date but it lasted 21 days and those have been the most exciting 21 days of my life. I am a fanatic of one dating site. Several members on this site are really good looking and hot so I usually spent several hours browsing on their profiles. Some members their are looking for soul mates, some are looking for fun and others are looking for long term, serious relationships. One time I had to accept an invitation for dinner as the guy is really persistent and indefatigable. It was scheduled on a Saturday night in a very classy restaurant. I was dressed to kill with my red evening gown and red high heeled stilettos. As I entered the venue, I can smell the aroma of the flowers, prettily set unto the tables and the aroma of the foods, being served to the awesome guests. Maria was sitting cross legged on her bedroom floor. There was a circle chalked out around her, and a candle at each of the four compass points. Maria was a Pagan, and she was about to do a spell. This particular one was for true love. She wanted to find it, and felt thatmagic was her only option. She had tried finding true love the usual way, and she had even tried internet dating. None of it worked, so here she was, sitting in her circle.She lit some incense that was in the circle with her, and breathed in its sweet aroma. It was rose scented. She also had a pink candle andsome rose petals in the circle with her, along with a wand she had carved from the yew tree in her garden, and some water in a large shell. She closed her eyes, breathed in more of the sweet aroma, and thought about her true love. She thought about how she would like him to look, and how she would like him to sound. She thought about how he would feel, how she would feel about him, and what he would smell like. She visualized him so intensely, that when she looked down into the water in the shell, she saw her true lovesreflection in the water along with hers. She smiled. She lit the candle, and sprinkled the rose petals in the water. As she did so, she started to recite the appropriate spell. As she was softly chanting, she stirred the rose petals into the water using the wand. After repeating the chant 3 times, she stopped, closed her eyes, breathed in more of the sweet aroma and focused her energies. She started to feel a bit light headed, but the feeling soon passed as she channeled all her energies into the shell with its petals and water. She visualized her energies reaching into the water and bringing out the image of her true love. She visualized him standing in her circle next to her, smelling of rose petals. She smelt the scent of man under the rose perfume, and once she had finished the spell and closed the circle, she went to bed. The next morning she was woken by the sound of people coming up the stairs. Bleary eyed, she staggered onto the landing, in time to see her older brother coming up the stairs carrying one end of a mattress. "Hey Maria - this is John, hes my mate and staying with us for a while, just a few weeks until his new place is sorted - you don't mind do you?." He disappeared into his room with the end of the mattress. Maria gasped as the guy holding the other end came into view. He was the guy from her spell. It was his reflection she had seen the night before in the water. When he looked up at her and smiled, the scent of roses came flooding back to her, her knees felt weak, and she managed to smile back before collapsing grinning onto her bed. It was summer and I had no work other than just watching cute girls on the beach. As I had just finished my exams I wanted to join some work but before getting ready for any job I wanted to relax for few days. So I had nothing to do and used to wait for the girls to finish their lectures and then come on the beach. Out of those many girls, I somehow found a girl to be very cute. She had sharp attractive features and can make any guy fall for her. I thought of approaching that girl and offer her to come out with me for a date. I was still sceptical if she will accept my offer. I've heard from my friends that girls who are cute are often arrogant in nature and I like to keep myself away from arrogant people but to get a girlfriend like her was worth taking that chance. However, I dared to approach her and introduced myself to her. I offered her to come on for a date with me on which she was bit hesitant and said that she wouldn't like to go out with a stranger. With a rejected face, I started returning. Suddenly, I heard her say "Hey stop". I halted there at once. She asked me if I like her to which I nodded my head. She smiled at me and said she doesn't believe in such kind of speed dating, however would like to come out with me. Since this was her first date, I really wanted her to feel comfortable and behaved very nicely with her. This earned more respect for me and she also started liking me. I could see the love in her eyes though she was trying to hide it. I asked her if she really liked me and if she would like to continue this relationship on which I got an affirmative reply from her. That really made me happy. Even in the wildest of my thought, I never imagined of getting along with such a beautiful girl. We had our food and I offered her to drop her at her home to which she agreed. Today a girlfriend and I are planning to go out to club where they will be having speed dating. We both thought it would be so exciting to get out and meet eight different guy in twenty four minutes. We wanted to see if just maybe there would be one decent guy in the bunch who would be worth going out to dinner with and getting to know for longer then three minutes.
