swing for life

BeforeI met my partner I was single for quite some time. I used to get quite jealous when I would see all of my friendscaressingtheir partners, and would get annoyed when we would go out, as they used to bring their other halves with them. It is adorable really but when I was single it was the last thing I wanted to see.

My friends decided to set me up on a blind date. I always loved watchingBlind Date when I was younger and would have loved to go on the show, so I was really up for going on thedate. In the past I had had a few successful times when I was dating men, butafter thatI just hadn't done very well.

The blind date came around really quickly, I was very nervous and was very close to not going but, some how, I managed to pull myself together and went. He was adorable! He was very handsome and such a gentleman. It was his first blind date too. He said he was fine until he arrived at the restaurant, and got so nervous, he thought he was going to pass out.

After our meal we went to a bar for a dance. Whilst we were dancing he was caressing my hair, I felt on cloud 9. We were getting on so well, I felt like I had known him for years and was so glad that my friends had set me up on the blind date. It gave me lots of confidence, going on the date and I felt that my love life wasn't completely hopeless after all.

We have been together for 5 years now, and on our anniversary we go to the same restaurant and then go dancing. Just like our first date he spins me around on the dance floor and holds me close, caressing my hair, he really is adorable.

I recently set up a friend of mine on a blind date and she really enjoyed it too. Although it is very nerve racking, it is also very exciting meeting someone for the first time, especially when you have no idea of what they even look like.
