Joshua was a sexy young man who knew he could get any girl he wanted however he had always longed for a long term girlfriend but he just could not ever find the right girl. He either found complete Moran's who would use him for his money or just plain Jane's who he was never attracted to and then there was the artificial girls who would just be so fake and complete airheads. He knew he judged people completely through looks and he knew that was why he could not find a decent girl to settle down with. He hadn't been in a relationship since high school where he couldn't remember a day since he started high school he wasn't with Jessica his first love. Jessica and Joshua were a couple for 5 years. Since he went to college and university his whole life had changed he became a complete player by having flings day in day out. He broke up with Jessica when he left for college as he moved to London. Looking back now Joshua who was 29 years old and in complete control of his own business which was doing very well he still hadn't changed his ways and was always having flings with girls he knew he would never have a life with.

Joshua wanted to find a nice girl he could live with for the rest of his life but he knew if he didn't change his ways and stop being so pig headed he would never find the right match. For the past couple of months Joshua couldn't help but think about Jessica she was very pretty and was intelligent that is how they became lovers through respect for one another. He knew Jessica was his soul mate and if he had not been so vain he could have stuck by there relationship despite the distance. It was his decision which he knew he would one day regret as he tried to find similar girls through dating single women his friends would suggest. He even tried dating single women through a free online dating site but he was always unlucky it was as if he was destined to be with Jessica. He was so desperate to find out what Jessica was doing and whether she was with someone or not for all he knew she could have been married with a couple of children by now. It had been a week since he went to a local pub where they were hosting a dating night and Joshua went in hope in dating single girls whom could meet his criteria but he was not in luck. Joshua had enough and decided to phone his old school buddy who lived in the same neighbourhood as Jessica. ''Hi Mike its um me Joshua i see you've not changed your phone number pleased to know. I know its been years since we last spoke but i really do need your help.'' Mike was shunned by hearing Joshua's voice he hadn't spoken to him for 13 years to be exact. ''Hey. hi wow Joshua is that really you man i thought you completely forgot about us since you started living the high life man.'' Mike was pleased to hear from him after half an hour of catching up Joshua decided to pluck up the courage and ask about Jessica. Mike went quiet and said in a sad voice, ''Josh mate we tried to get in touch with you and that but we had no way of contacting you but it was Jess's funeral last week, she died during labour. She was happy you know she found the perfect guy since you left she wasn't herself until she met Tom.'' Joshua couldn't believe it she was dead and had gotten married. Joshua put the phone down all the memories and flashbacks came back to him he was in a shed of tears.

A month had gone past and during the last month he visited Jessica's parents where he saw her baby boy he looked just like her he was beautiful he had remorse for not staying in touch with her but it taught him something and that was to never take anything for granted not even life. Joshua's sister Mary came to visit him ''Hey Josh you still dating single women who are dumb enough to go out with you.'' Joked Mary but Joshua was still grieving and was in no mood for jokes. ''You know Mary, I took Jessica for granted and i wish to god that i had just gotten in touch with her even if it was for a little while.'' Mary hugged her brother as he started to weep. She knew it would take time for him to heal but she knew this would teach him a lesson about love and one day he would find someone and at no costs let her go. At the end of a very nightmarish loss he could find himself again and be true to himself.
